    The chimpanzees Linda, Torsten, Maria Magdalena and Manda were shot dead in connection with an escape at Furuviksparken last winter.

    Now their ashes will be scattered in the sea outside Furuvik, reports P4 Gävleborg.

    The ceremony will not be open to the public and no memorial will be arranged for them – despite the public’s great involvement.

    The Pakistani authorities have declared a state of emergency in four districts after the storms that broke out in the country on Saturday.

  • Man and woman arrested for serious assault

    A man in his 40s and a woman in his 55s have been arrested on suspicion of serious assault in Örebro on Saturday evening.

    Residents at an address in Markbacken called the police at 10 p.m. after they heard strange noises coming from an apartment.

    At the address, a woman in her 40s is found injured and she is taken to hospital.

    The apartment has been cordoned off for a technical examination.
