Collision in tunnel – several cars involved
An accident has occurred in the Marieholm Tunnel in Gothenburg, in the middle of the evening rush hour.
Two cars and two trucks were allegedly involved in the accident, which occurred in the direction of the city center.
“Probably no injuries, but given the time, it could mean a major traffic impact,” the police write on their website.
The Swedish Transport Administration expects that traffic at the site will be affected until at least 6.20 pm.

Man arrested – stabbed another man

A man armed with a stabbing weapon has attacked another man in the center of Vällingby in western Stockholm.
The incident must have taken place at a tunnel near the subway station.
Police officers patrolling the center saw the incident and were able to quickly arrest the perpetrator.
The victim will be examined by paramedics. He is injured in the upper body but, according to the police, should be conscious.
Elderly woman hit by bus
An 85-year-old woman has been hit by a bus at the central station in Trelleborg.
The police and ambulance were called to the scene at 4:30 p.m.
The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of the injury is currently unknown.
Volvo risks billions in fines in the US

AB Volvo is sentenced to heavy fines in the United States for having breached safety procedures, reports DI.
According to an agreement between AB Volvo and the American road safety authority NHTSA, the company must be fined 85 million dollars, corresponding to roughly 879 million kroner.
But the amount risks growing due to various factors. At most, Volvo can be fined SEK 1.3 billion.
If so, it is one of the harshest punishments of its kind in US history.
Hungary ratifies Finland on Monday

Hungary will ratify Finland’s membership in NATO on Monday, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg confirms, according to TT.
– I spoke this morning with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto and he confirmed that there will be a vote on March 27 in the Hungarian Parliament on ratification by Finland and we will then work further to make progress on ratification for Sweden, Stoltenberg says
After the press conference, Stoltenberg confirms to TT and SR Ekot that Hungary will not vote for Sweden on Monday.
– They continue (the process with Sweden), but (vote) not on Monday, says Stoltenberg in passing on his way to a television appearance, according to TT.
Fire in industry: “Open flames”
The emergency services have been alerted to a fire in an industry in Grum municipality.
According to callers, it would be burning with open flames, which is not true according to the emergency services.
– We have had smoke developing, but no fire. It seems calm at the scene, says SOS Alarm’s spokesperson who is responsible for the rescue service in Bergslagen.
No one is reported to have been injured.
– We have an ambulance on site, but have not received anything like that.
Set fire to man outside mosque – man arrested
A man was on his way home from a mosque in Birmingham when an unknown man rushed up and set him on fire, reports Sky News.
The man was taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
One person has been arrested by anti-terrorist police.
Images from the attack, which took place on Monday night, are circulating on social media, according to Sky News.
It shows the perpetrator talking to the man before spraying something flammable on his jacket.
No reason to worry about another financial crisis

Riksbank Governor Erik Thedéen speaks SVT News that the Swedes do not need to worry about a new financial crisis despite the banking crisis that is ongoing internationally.

No one arrested after woman found dead in wooded area

The police are investigating a murder after a woman has been found dead in a town outside Jönköping.
According to information, it concerns a woman who had been missing since the end of February.
– I have seen that there is information about it, but the identity has not been established yet, says Stefan Sundling, head of the serious crime group in Jönköping at a press conference.
According to Sundling, the woman’s body has been at the site for at least a day.
He says that the incident is being investigated as a murder and grave breach.
A house has been cordoned off near the scene.
– It’s a question that I can’t answer any more at the moment than that we can’t rule out that it has significance in the investigation, says Stefan Sundling.
The police have not arrested any suspects. A neighbor has told Aftonbladet that the police took two people away in two police cars.

530 people have been shot dead in Haiti this year

531 people have been shot dead in Haiti since the turn of the year.
It is reported by AFP with reference to a UN report that expresses “serious concern about the extreme violence that continues to spin out of control”.
Many of the victims have been shot dead by snipers who, according to the UN, shoot people in their homes or on the street at random.
In addition to the 531 dead, 300 have been injured and 277 people kidnapped in gang-related violence so far this year.
The Norwegian decision: Banning TikTok – immediately
Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre has decided to ban TikTok with immediate effect for ministers, state secretaries and political advisers, reports VG.
The decision comes after Norway’s National Security Agency recommended stopping TikTok and Telegram on service phones.
USB bombs were sent to journalists
The police in Ecuador are investigating cases where journalists have received bombs disguised as USB sticks, reports the BBC.
A journalist was injured when the stick exploded after he inserted it into his computer.
At least five news organizations have received the sticks.
The police have launched an investigation into terrorist crimes.

Hello! The man whose name and picture we published is sentenced to life imprisonment for murder.
Life-sentenced murderers are often named, because the public interest in those cases often outweighs possible publicity damage.
The other man, whose name and picture we have not published, was convicted of aggravated robbery.
But all cases are different. And name publication is decided on a case-by-case basis.
