Weed killers are stopped – can poison the groundwater
The Chemicals Inspectorate is stopping the plant protection agent Kerb Flo 400, which is used against, among other things, weeds.
The reason is that the use of the product in free-range cultivation and forest plantations can lead to suspected carcinogens ending up in the groundwater.
The sales ban applies from 31 March 2023.
Already purchased products must be handed over to an approved waste handler within three months.
Children walked through the ice – rescued by passers-by
A child walked through the ice in Gröndal in southern Stockholm on Friday afternoon.
Passers-by saw the incident and managed to drag the child to the edge of the beach.
– The child is healthy according to the first information, says the rescue service’s management operator Jonas Wahlstrand.
A large number of rescue units were called to the scene.
– We were there to confirm that there were no more than one child involved in it. So we have handed over to the police, says Jonas Wahlstrand.
Arla lowers the price for dairy farmers
Dairy giant Arla lowers the price it pays Arla farmers for flour by 57.2 öre per liter of milk.
Arla’s 8,500 dairy farmers now have to make do with SEK 4.81 per kilo of milk.
“Arla cannot pay the farmers more than what the market is prepared to pay,” the dairy giant writes in a press release.
Several to hospital after car accident
A car and a car with a trailer have collided on the E65 near the municipality of Skurup.
Three people have had to be taken to hospital by ambulance, of which two adults and a child.

The police were called to Vilhelmina municipality after a person was hit by a tractor.
The person has been taken, with unclear injuries, to hospital by ambulance helicopter.
Chat GPT is blocked in Italy
On Friday, the Italian data protection authority decided to restrict the ai tool Chat GPT.
The authority states, among other things, that the tool collects data about its users in a potentially illegal way.
They also believe that Chat GPT has not managed to limit who uses the tool. Above all, since the chatbot should not be used by people under 13, reports Reuters.
Man taken to hospital after suspected workplace accident
A man has been taken to hospital after a suspected workplace accident in Klippan municipality in Skåne.
The man is aged 25 and it is unclear how he was injured.
– We have no more information to release at the moment, says Richard Lundqvist at the police.
Two cars in collision – one person to hospital
Two cars have collided on a road outside Uppsala.
One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
It is unclear what caused the accident.
The police warn: Take it easy in traffic
After more than 15 accidents during Friday morning, the police in Jönköping, Södermanland and Östergötland counties are now warning of slippery road conditions.
– Take it easy on the roads. Keep your distance, says Marcus Anefur, inspector at the police.
During Friday morning, both single-vehicle accidents and multi-vehicle accidents occurred.
Among other things, a truck and a car collided on the E4 at the height of Jönköping. However, the road must have remained open, albeit with longer queues. No one is said to have been injured in the accident.
Man dead – found injured outside
The police were alerted that a 35-year-old man was found injured outside at 05.10 on the night of Friday in Skara municipality.
The man was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries. Relatives have been notified.

– We are investigating this as a murder. I have no information about whether the people knew each other or not, says Caroline Karlsson, press spokesperson at the police.
Letter with unclear content – police on site
A letter with unclear content has been sent to the Swedish Migration Agency’s head office in Norrköping, the police write on their website.
The letter was opened by the staff. Police, ambulance and emergency services are on site and the emergency services will examine the contents.
The police have cordoned off an area so that no vehicles can enter the building.
According to the police, there are no reports of injuries.
– We are aware that letters were received by County Boards in Sweden this week and that these letters were harmless, says Angelica Israelsson Silfver at the police.

There is nothing in the constitution that prevents a person who has been charged or convicted of a crime from standing for election, or taking office as president.

It must be quite a large jar… one must assume.
According to “my” coop, there is a shortage of minced meat in Sweden and the world now. Is it true? There was no minced meat at all in the store today and no forecast when it will arrive. I don’t have any other stores nearby to check, so I’m asking you at AB if that’s correct? Can’t find anything when I google.
