Several people have died in connection with a shooting at a hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan, reports Reuters.
On Monday, gunmen opened fire inside the hotel, which often has Chinese guests. A large bang is said to have been heard before the men started shooting.
At least 18 people were injured and 3 died.
At least two of the dead were foreign nationals who tried to escape the gunfire by jumping from a balcony.
At least three perpetrators were killed by security forces. IS has claimed responsibility.
Tired of the neighbor – threw fireworks at him
A 55-year-old man in Ystad was relieved by the neighbour’s noise.
Then he stood on his balcony and threw a firecracker at him.
Police were alerted to an explosion in the residential area in July 2020. When they arrived at the 55-year-old’s home, he asked if they were there because he had just thrown a firecracker, reports Ystad’s Allehanda.
He told me that he drank three liters of wine, got drunk and went to bed. But the neighbor was so loud that he went up and told him to “shut up”. When that didn’t help, he went inside and got a firecracker.
It turned out that the man had 255 fireworks at home. He is now being sentenced for breach of public order, breach of the Explosive Objects Act and vandalism, as two window panes in the apartment building were broken.
Now the winter sickness is here

The season for winter sickness is underway, announces the Public Health Agency.
An increase in the highly contagious virus is expected in the coming weeks.
– Last year the season was tougher than usual with many reported cases. Also, for the first time ever we saw two peaks in one season, usually we only see one peak which usually falls in February or March. The tougher season was probably an effect of the fact that hardly any cases were reported the year before, says Elsie Ydring, epidemiologist at the Public Health Agency.
– How extensive the spread will be this season cannot be said.

DI: M betrays the election promise of amortization break
Screenshot/The moderators Photo: The message remains on M’s website.
It doesn’t look like there will be any amortization break that the Moderates promised before the election, sources say Today’s industry.
The reason is that interest rates would rise too much.
The government has also claimed that it held dialogue with the Riksbank and the Financial Supervisory Authority about pausing the requirement, but this is denied by the Riksbank.
– The Riksbank has had no contact with the government in this matter, says press manager Tomas Lundberg to DI.
On the Moderates’ website, however, the promise of a paused amortization requirement remains.
“Sweden is heading into a recession and we have high inflation. Households are finding it difficult to make ends meet with rising mortgage interest rates and rising prices for electricity, food and fuel. It creates pessimism that leads to lower consumption and risks pushing us deeper into recession. The moderates will therefore temporarily pause the amortization requirement to ease the burden on households and so that Sweden can survive the crisis.”

Police: No longer searching for survivors
Five people have been confirmed dead after the gas explosion in a housing estate in Haut du Mont on the British Channel Island of Jersey on Saturday.
The local police have now released the names of seven people who are still missing after the explosion, reports Sky News. A few more, as yet unnamed, people are missing.
The police announce that the search for survivors has ended and that it is now a matter of digging up bodies from the racial masses.

The cause of the incident is not yet clear. The police have launched an investigation.

In the British Isles, usually known for rain, there is cold and heavy snowfall.
The morning’s warmest temperature – minus 9.3 – was measured in Braemar, Scotland. It has not been this cold in the country since December 2010, the national weather service Met Office announces.
The weather has caused chaos on the roads. During the day, the rescue service has received eight alarms about emergency situations per minute. About 9,000 motorists have called the RAC, corresponding to the Motormen, to get help, write Sky News.
In the village of Burwash, 40 stranded motorists were forced to seek shelter for the night in a local pub, writes The Telegraph.
– People who had never met before huddled together and helped each other. It was lovely to see, says bar owner Pauline Wilson.
Flights and trains have been affected by delays and canceled departures.
The country’s public health authority urges residents to cover themselves with “several layers” of clothing.
Knife woman smashed wine boxes at Systembolaget
Staff at Systembolaget in Norberg called the police at 4pm on Monday after a woman with a knife threatened the staff.
– A woman had thrown and torn down a lot of bottles. She also allegedly destroyed wine boxes with a sharp object, says Ola Österling, police spokesperson.
The woman was slightly injured in connection with the incident. She was arrested by police who used pepper spray during the arrest.
No other person was injured. It is still unclear what prompted the woman’s actions.
The incident is being investigated as grossly illegal threats and damage.

How is it going in the Vetlanda case? The two women who are in custody for murder?
Anna
Hi Anna! The women are still in custody for the same suspicions – kidnapping, murder and breach of the peace of mind.
On Thursday, the prosecutor will request whether the detention period should be extended or not. At the moment, it does not appear that any charges will be filed until the beginning of next year.
Hey!
Is it a new person in the north who has been suspected of murder, or is it the same one you wrote about yesterday?
Anonymous
Hey! It’s a new suspected murder.
But why do they choose to do this always on the second weekend in December just before the Christmas and New Year holidays. Why not the second weekend in January?
No
Hi Inga! How it is that it always happens on the second weekend in December, I actually don’t know. At 16.20 we will have a chat with the Swedish Transport Administration’s press manager Bengt Olsson, so then you can ask him your question!
Why don’t you write anything about protesting yesterday against high prices?
Sigvard Holmberg
