    – We dive down with the sharks to the bottom and release them there, says Maria Jämting.

In Sweden, there are 16 shark species that live on the west coast. The small-spotted red shark has been threatened with extinction, but the species has now stabilized.

    – They are not decreasing in number, and are protected. So you can’t fish them, says Maria Jämting.

During Tuesday, Region Gotland, the Police and the Security Police held a press conference ahead of the upcoming Almedal Week.

There, the police stated that a thorough evaluation of the security situation had been made after last year’s tragic event when the national coordinator for psychiatric issues at SKR, Ing-Marie Wieselgren, was murdered.

    – However, we have not perceived that there are any particular threats or risks directed at the week, or that any organizer would have opted out of Almedalen, says Region Gotland’s preparedness manager Rikard von Zweigbergk.

However, Säpo’s head of command, Fredrik Bratt, states that the threat to Sweden is “quite high”, and that developments in the outside world mean that it is accelerating.

    – The global situation is something we definitely have to take into account during this week, not least when we have so many decision-makers on site in a small area for a limited time, he says and continues:

    – But despite that, we see no concrete threat to the event this year.
