Cheerful on the stock market – closed on the plus side
The Stockholm stock exchange turned up on Thursday and the broad OMXS index closed at plus 1.4 percent, TT wrote.
New jobs figures in the US and Wall Street opened with optimism fueled the rise.
Almost all the heavyweights on the OMXS30 list landed in the plus.
The cloud service company Sinch was the strongest, up 4.3 percent, followed by the medical technology company Getinge on 3.7 percent and the real estate group SBB on 3.4 percent.
With one exception: Mining giant Boliden retreated by 0.3 percent.

Disturbances at Tradera – people testify about fake bids
Several users on Tradera testify that they have been inundated with fake bids.
“20 bids on different auctions in 30 minutes! Never seen anything like this in my 17 years!”, writes one person on Facebook.
Another person says that he received a notice about a bid that he had not made.
– I saw that I had bid 1,400 kroner for a pair of sweatpants, so I logged into my profile and saw that I had bid on 13 items, says Alexander Fahlgren, 27.
Tradera announces on its website that it is investigating the problem.
“There is currently an issue with incorrect bids on some listings. We are investigating the issue and any incorrect bids will be automatically removed,” they write.
Fire on ship in Stockholm – loaded with wood chips
A fire has broken out on a ship in Värtahamnen in Stockholm, the rescue service announces.
– It is a cargo ship that is approximately 100 meters long, says Hans Eriksson, command operator at rescue region Mitt.
It is unclear if anyone was injured, but the fire is not expected to be particularly extensive.
– It seems that they extinguished most of it themselves, says Hans Eriksson.
The rescue service is on site at the ship, which has a load of approximately 200 tonnes of wood chips. However, it is unclear whether it is the wood chips that have started to burn.
15-year-old arrested after shooting in Gubbängen

One of the teenage boys who was arrested after the shooting at an apartment building in Gubbängen in southern Stockholm yesterday evening has been arrested, the Public Prosecutor’s Office announces in a press release.
The boy, who is 15 years old, is suspected of attempted murder.
No one was injured in the shooting.
The other person, a 14-year-old boy, has been released.
During the day, prosecutors will decide whether he should be remanded in custody or not.
Pedophile in Höganäs was revealed by the FBI
A woman in her 50s in Scania’s Höganäs is charged with child pornography offences, writes Helsingborgs Dagblad.
The case began to unravel in the summer of 2020 when the US FBI discovered child pornography on an IP address.
The FBI tipped off the Swedish police. This led to the house search of a woman in her 50s.
Seven films were found in the woman’s apartment. In most cases, babies were subjected to brutal abuse.
The woman, who lived a seemingly ordinary life with a husband and a municipal job, has admitted everything.
Garbage truck in accident outside Avesta
A garbage truck drove into the ditch on county road 705 outside Avesta at around 3.30pm on Thursday.
– The accident happened directly after a crest so there was poor visibility, says Johan Gustafsson, team leader at SOS-alarm.
In addition to poor visibility, the road must also have been slippery.
The driver is uninjured and the road is currently closed in both directions. Soon, however, traffic will be released alternately, the police write.
Suspect for murder in Bjuv released at large
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder after an 18-year-old man was found dead in Bjuv on Tuesday.
Now he has been released, reports say Helsingborgs Dagblad.
– It has been a weaker suspicion during the detention period and it has not been strengthened, says prosecutor Kerstin Eriksson to the newspaper.
Dead man in Skutskär – two arrested
An 18-year-old man has been found dead in Skutskär. On Thursday morning, the hospital in Gävle contacted the police because there was uncertainty about the death.
During the day, the police investigated the matter and cannot rule out crime.
Two people have been arrested, TT reports. What the people are suspected of is unclear.
The police are otherwise very secretive about the incident.
Relatives are informed of the death.
German post ends with telegram
The German state is rarely mentioned as a melting pot for digitization. But now things are happening.
Deutsche Post will end Telegram at the turn of the year, reports ARD.
The telegrams have simply become too few for it to be worth continuing. In recent times, it has been almost exclusively authorities and companies that have used the service.
Telegram was most widely used at the end of the 19th century and a bit into the 20th century. The means of communication was then appreciated for its speed compared to the post.
Person dead after traffic accident outside Halmstad
During the day, two passenger cars were involved in a traffic accident on national highway 15 at Trönninge outside Halmstad, according to the police.
The alarm was received by SOS at 2:06 p.m.
Later, the police announced that one person had died in connection with the accident.
Relatives have been notified.
The road has been closed during the afternoon, according to the Swedish Transport Administration.
The electricity price is falling even more – throughout the country
Today, the electricity price is 29 öre per kWh throughout the country. Now the electricity exchange Nord pool announces that tomorrow the price will drop further, to 20 öre per kWh.
And even tomorrow, the same price applies in the country’s four electricity price areas.
On top of the stock market price, the electricity company’s mark-up, electricity tax, VAT and grid fee are added, in the order of SEK 1:50-2 per kWh, writes TT.

Annual record for number treated with covid
A total of 2,179 patients are now being treated with covid-19, according to new figures from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
This is reported by TT.
That is more than during the most recent peak in the pandemic in January 2022. At that time, it was estimated that a maximum of 2,138 patients received inpatient care, including intensive care, at the same time.
The highest peak was reached two years ago, in January 2021. At that time, almost 3,000 patients were treated.

Yes. The tax-free mileage allowance for work trips with your own car will be increased at the turn of the year from SEK 18.50 to SEK 25 per mile.

If the snow is wet and heavy, trees can fall and tear down power lines, for example.
If it is cold, high electricity consumption can cause the electricity networks to become overloaded.
Slippery and a lot of snow on the roads also make it more difficult for the electricity companies’ staff to get there to repair things that have broken.
