The decision comes as a result of the tightening of the law against “gay propaganda”, reports TT.
Behind “Nureev” is Kirill Serebrennikov, one of Russia’s most innovative and successful directors. He left the country in connection with Putin launching his war of aggression against Ukraine in February last year.
The performance is based on the life of superstar Rudolf Nerejev. He fled the Soviet Union in the 60s to find great success in the West – before dying aged 54 of AIDS.
According to Bolshoi Theater director Vladimir Urin, the decision has to do with a recently introduced addition to the law against “gay propaganda” originally passed in 2013.
In December, the ban on “propaganda in support of non-traditional sexual relations” was extended to also include adults. Previously, the law only applied to things aimed at children.
Canada geese are hunted with a green laser

Norrtälje, like other municipalities, has had problems with defecating Canada geese at bathing areas in recent years. Now the municipality has decided to tackle the problem – and bought a green laser for around SEK 50,000.

– Every year we spend one million kroner on sending out a team that cleans the municipality’s beaches of bird droppings. This measure will save money, says Nicklas Salmin (L), chairman of the culture and leisure board, to the channel.
The green laser is perceived as a threat by the geese, which leads them away from the bathing areas.
Norrtälje is the first municipality in Sweden to use the unconventional method to get rid of the geese.
Collision between A-tractor and car
The accident occurred at 9.40 pm on a national road in Hässleholm municipality. According to the police, it is a collision between an A-tractor and a car.
Police, emergency services and an ambulance were sent to the scene.
Just over an hour later, the police announce that the driver of the A-tractor has been taken to hospital by ambulance. However, the extent of the damage is unclear.
Ban on abortion pills brought forward

The Swedish Space Agency has, by decision of the government, placed its crow under a declaration of intent to the European Space Agency ESA to send a Swedish astronaut into space.
“Now the work begins to get a new Swedish astronaut who will ensure that Sweden maintains and develops our position in international space cooperation,” says the Swedish Space Agency’s Director General Anna Rathsman, in a press release.
The goal is for the person to go into space within a year and be stationed on the International Space Station ISS.
It is not yet clear who will be able to call themselves Sweden’s new astronaut. But according to Aktuellt, it is former fighter pilot Marcus Wandt who is up for the assignment.
Man severely abused by several people
On Wednesday afternoon, police were called to Hertsön in Luleå regarding an injured man.
According to the police, he must have been abused by various perpetrators. He has been taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
The assault is described as serious and there are no suspects or detainees at the moment.
Fatal collision between car and truck
A collision between a car and a truck took place on the E18 at Sanda, southeast of Årjäng in Värmland, at around 19:00 on Wednesday.

A cyclist has been taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter after a collision with a truck in Nacka municipality outside Stockholm on Wednesday.
– The cyclist was awake and able to speak when the person was taken to hospital. Beyond that, I cannot say anything about the state of the damage, says Ola Österling at the police.
The police are investigating the incident as causing bodily harm and failure to obey the right of way.
Two men arrested in the archipelago after shots were fired
Two men have been arrested in the archipelago just north of Blidö in Norrtälje municipality on Wednesday.
“A large number of shots have been fired on an island,” the police write on their website.
– We have been able to establish that they shot at paintings. The men have been arrested and we suspect a crime, says Ola Österling at the police.
After reports of gunfire, the police launched an extensive operation with a police helicopter and the maritime police.

Total stop on the Västkustbanan
The trains on the Västkustbanan have been stopped after a several hundred meter long plastic blanket flew up and wrapped itself in the power line in Kävlinge municipality.
