Current US President Joe Biden says he has not yet definitively decided whether he will run for re-election.
The 80-year-old president says in an interview with the American television company PBS News Hour that he probably intends to run but that the decision has not yet been made.
– I have not made a decision. That’s my ambition, I think, but I haven’t decided definitively, says Joe Biden to PBS. (TT)

Person found dead – man arrested
During the afternoon, the police were alerted to a dead person in a residence in Umeå.
Police have not been able to rule out foul play, and a man has been arrested.
“Interrogations must be held with the arrested man. After that, prosecutors must decide whether he should be arrested or not,” the police write on their website.
“Died” on the plane – received care after landing
A man was pronounced dead on a charter flight from Lanzarote earlier this week.
But after the landing at Landvetter, medical personnel discovered, according to information to GP, that the man had a pulse. He was then taken to hospital.
CPR was started during the flight. But according to the travel company Tui, “the man’s life did not seem to be able to be saved”.
The man was then secured with seat belts and blankets – and the flight continued another hour to Gothenburg.
– In this case, it is established that the man is lifeless and then they continue to the final destination, which was relatively close, according to existing procedures, says Adam Györki, head of communications at Tui, to GP.
He cannot comment on the information that the man must have had a pulse.
– We can only state that with our assessment, and with the equipment we have on the flights, he appeared lifeless.
Neither the Sahlgrenska hospital nor the police have been able to provide any information about how the man fared.
Disney lays off 7,000
Disney makes big announcements and lays off 7,000 people, writes TT.
CEO Bob Iger made the announcement on Wednesday evening, in connection with the company’s release of its quarterly report.
– This was not an easy decision to make. I have enormous respect and appreciation for the talent and commitment of our employees around the world.
The number of subscribers to the streaming service Disney+ has fallen by one percent to 161.8 million – a loss that was, however, somewhat smaller than expected.
The stock rose around three percent in after-market trading.
Two injured in fire
A fire broke out in an apartment on Gullviksborg in Malmö late on Wednesday evening.
According to the police, there is a fully developed fire on the fifth floor of the building.
– There has been a fire in an apartment on the fifth floor. The apartment burned heavily, the flames spread out onto the balcony, says Mattias Sköld, interior commander at the rescue service, to South Sweden.
According to the newspaper, smoke divers went in and extinguished the fire.
Two people who were in the apartment got out on their own. Both are said to be injured and one of them has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
Problems on Instagram – in several countries
Right now there is a technical glitch on Instagram in several countries.
Many users report problems via the site Down detector.

Turkey has restricted access to Twitter – three days after the earthquake disaster.
It writes Reuters and refers to the organization Netblocks which monitors internet access in the world.
Even Tiktok should have been restricted, a cyber law expert told the news agency.
The move has caused great anger, as rescue teams, among others, use Twitter to communicate. Many also use the platform to try to get information about loved ones they cannot reach.
No official statement has been made regarding the move.
But President Erdogan said in an interview yesterday that he was not going to allow the spread of “disinformation” and and urged people not to listen to “provocateurs”
Patient test drove a scooter – died
An elderly man in Malmö died when he test drove a scooter he was supposed to receive as a mobility aid, writes news agency Sirén.
“Something happens outdoors that causes the patient to drive down a flight of stairs, overturn and get the scooter over him,” writes Region Skåne in its notification to the Medical Products Agency.
The man later died in hospital.
It is not yet clear whether the death is directly linked to the accident, according to Region Skåne.
The incident is under investigation.
Knife robbery against grocery store
A man armed with a knife has robbed a grocery store in Sexdrega in Svenljunga municipality.
The robber was masked and threatened to take 4,000 kroner from the cash register.
He then appears to have disappeared from the scene on foot.
None of the staff were physically injured, but were nevertheless shocked.
The police are searching for the robber, including with dogs.
Bus crashes in preschool – two children dead

Two children have died after a bus crashed into a preschool in Montreal, Canada. reports CTV News.
Six people are reported to have been seriously injured. The bus driver has been detained while Canadian police investigate whether the incident was intentional or not.
– I am devastated. We all are, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a comment.
The Quebec police assess that the bus crash was carried out intentionally.
– The driver, a 51-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and negligence in traffic, she said at a press conference.
Man on bicycle badly beaten
The police were called to central Helsingborg at around 5 p.m.
A cyclist was allegedly assaulted by two people in a car.
According to the police, it was a “traffic dispute” that got out of hand. The car then disappeared from the scene.
The cyclist, a man in his 30s, has been examined by an ambulance. It is unclear if he had to be taken to hospital.
The incident is being investigated as aggravated assault.

The “Elegance Study” at Lund University has received harsh criticism.
But now the Appeals Board for Ethics Review states that no error has been committed. It reports South Sweden.
The participants in the study were not aware that their appearance was being graded and the study was therefore reported for deviation from good research practice.
– It feels good that it’s over. It’s never fun to be reported. At the same time, I have always known what I have done and was confident that it was correct, says PhD student Adrian Mehic, who carried out the study, to Sydsvenskan.
However, he is not satisfied with the support from his own university and therefore chooses to file a legal complaint against those responsible in the university’s board for how they handled the case.
He believes that people in the university’s management must have misled with incorrect information.
– It feels like they always wanted to bring me down.
