Arla banned from using “net zero”
The Patent and Market Court follows the line of the Consumer Ombudsman and prohibits Arla from using the expression “net zero climate footprint” when marketing its products.
This is because the claim is misleading, the court believes.
– The verdict is good because many consumers want to shop with consideration for the environment, but may have difficulty knowing what climate footprint a product leaves. Therefore, it is particularly important that the companies take their responsibility and do not exaggerate in the advertising, says Ida Nyström, process advisor at the Consumer Ombudsman, in a press release.

Some customers have not received a bill since June.
– When the electricity bill comes, I have no idea what it will land on. I have put away a few thousand Swedish kroner every month to be able to pay it. It could be well over 10,000 per month I suspect, says customer Tony Westman.

The Minister of Justice holds a press conference on terrorism

On Thursday, Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer (M) presents a new proposal to introduce a special penalty provision for participation in a terrorist organization.
– Recently, the Psychological Defense Agency drew the public’s attention to the fact that Sweden is considered a legitimate target. There is a clearer and sharper rhetoric now linked to the Koran burnings, says Gunnar Strömmer.
Sweden today has extensive criminalization when it comes to terrorism, but not when it comes to participation in a terrorist organization, he says.
Participation in the terrorist organization is now to be prohibited, according to the proposal.
– The legislative work started after the terrorist attack on Drottninggatan in 2017, he says.
The government at the time did not go ahead with criminalizing participation as the legal council had previously stated that it would be in conflict with freedom of association.
A constitutional amendment has taken place since then – it is now possible with such a penalty provision. Therefore, a new offense is now being introduced.

Is it illegal to burn the Koran in Finland, because Erdogan now demands that it be so and because in the same breath he says he is positive to Finland’s application?
Johnny Lesser
Hey Johnny!
Freedom of expression and freedom of demonstration are constitutional rights in Finland as well. But the Finnish National Police Board tells the news agency STT that similar protests cannot be approved in Finland.
It would be considered a crime against the peace of faith to burn the Koran.

Why no reporting on the incident in Hässleholm during last night until Wednesday morning?

Do not understand why such an important thing as information about the war in Ukraine should be a “plus” and I should pay extra to find out, and this from a newspaper that should give us news.
Please explain how you think here!
But the easiest thing is to just delete the post, if you don’t have an answer.
Shoulder
Hi Axel! I’m not the one to decide things like this, so take my words with a grain of salt. But our starting point is that pure news, whether about the war, covid-19, politics or crime, can be read openly, while in-depth information requires a plus login.
Personally, I don’t think it’s that strange, we’re a private company and not a public service that gets all the funding on the tax bill. And if you compare to the old days – I hardly think that the newspaper was free in the newsstands just because there was a second world war or the cold war…
At least that’s what I think, but everyone can think differently!
