    The renovation is estimated to cost 262 million euros.

    Republican Congressman George Santos has turned himself in to authorities in the United States, the New York Times reports.

    Yesterday, the Ministry of Justice filed charges against Santos. He is suspected of seven counts of fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds and two counts of materially false statements to the House of Representatives.

  • Forest fire – greater effort

    The emergency services have been alerted to a forest fire in Nitta outside Ulricehamn.

    – This is a major forest fire. We are on site with several forces and are building up an effort to get started with the extinguishing, says Caroline Olausson, communicator at Särf to Ulricehamns Newspaper.

    The forest fire is estimated to be 400 by 400 meters. The rescue service has requested help from MSB, which they hope will send an aircraft during the afternoon. It is windy and dry terrain, so the operation is expected to last for a long time.
