The new center is the result of a significant redevelopment project – conceived according to the needs of the Saint Laurent Atelier – of a building built in the nineties and subsequently became part of the real estate assets of the CDP Group which completed the works in just over a year and a half. The structure has been aligned with the highest sustainability standards and adopts system solutions aimed at energy saving.

The Atelier will employ over 500 craftsmen and technicians, with a significant impact on regional development and employment. It will host modern and flexible open-plan offices equipped with hi-tech systems, large spaces dedicated to production, leather cutting and material storage, with a fully automated system for managing security systems. The new structure is equipped, among other things, with a large auditorium for events and initiatives for the fashion house’s employees.

“Our urban regeneration activity gives maximum priority to the reuse of real estate complexes and their return to the community. Despite a complex economic scenario, we completed and delivered the project within the established timescales thanks to the great collaboration with the Municipality of Scandicci, to the constructive relationship with Saint Laurent and to our experience”, he declared Giancarlo Scotti. “The project has a significant impact on regional development and job opportunities and meets the highest standards in terms of sustainability, an objective that the CDP Group pursues in all its initiatives”.

The building will soon obtain LEED Gold certification thanks to the use of materials and finishes that adhere to rigorous codes of social and environmental sustainability and the adoption of modern system solutions aimed at energy saving. In addition to the redevelopment of the real estate complex, the CDP Real Asset project also involved the creation of new green spaces and a public car park, revitalizing the area and thus generating important benefits for the territory and the local community.
