The semi-finals of the Hockey Women’s League started on Saturday. Kiekko-Espoo, TPS, HIFK and Kärpät took the wins.

The Women’s League playoffs kicked off on Saturday with four matches. There are eight teams in the playoffs. Kiekko-Espoo faced KalPan, HIFK played against HPK, TPS got Ilves and Kärpät Kuortane.

The reigning champion was superior

A one-sided show was seen in Espoo when reigning champion Kiekko-Espoo won last season’s silver medalist KalPan 8–0. Kalpan goalkeeper Tiina Ranne fell into considerable disk rain. He stretched the puck on the road 61 times. Despite the eight goals conceded, the wrist defense percentage was 88.4. With a Polish colleague Tiia Pajarinen survived 18 fights.

The flies drilled the victory from Kuortane

The four teams in the lower division of the Women’s League who have been eliminated in the playoffs will play a double qualifier against each other. The top two teams in the series will play in the Women’s League Preliminaries in the 2022-23 season.
