Valladolid is located about 200 kilometers north of the capital Madrid.
The reason for the kidnapping is the rise of Real Valladolid, a football team owned by Ronaldo, back to the Spanish main league La Liga, from where it fell at the end of the 2020-2021 season. Valladolid secured the rise last weekend.
