Last minute: The suggestion that could end the Ukraine-Russia war came from the Ukrainian leader Zelenskiy. President of Ukraine Zelensky announced that he is ready to give up NATO.
ZELENSKY: ‘RESENT’ FOR ALL PARTIES
In an interview broadcast on Ukrainian television, Zelenskiy explained that this is a compromise for the West, which does not know what to do with Ukraine regarding NATO, for Ukraine, which wants to ensure its security, and for Russia, which does not want NATO to expand further.
REPEAT CALLS TO MEET PUTIN
Zelensky said that his country is ready to give up NATO membership, provided that the Russian troops withdraw, a ceasefire is achieved and Ukraine’s security is guaranteed.
Reiterating his call for a direct meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Zelenskiy stated that it is impossible to understand whether Russia wants to end the war unless they meet with Putin.
