On the other hand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a statement after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s address to the nation, “We find Russia’s decision to recognize the Donetsk and Luhansk Republics unacceptable and we reject it.”
PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN: UNACCEPTABLE
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in his first message regarding the tension between Russia and Ukraine, said, “Since we are a Black Sea country, many precautionary packages must be created. We are already taking these measures, we have taken them.”
President Erdogan, regarding Russia’s so-called recognition of Donetsk and Luhansk, said, “We consider the decision to be unacceptable. We call on the parties to abide by common sense and international law.”
