Anti-regime armed groups, who clashed with the regime forces for three days and advanced towards the city center of Aleppo from the west, broke the defense lines of the regime forces in the axis of Hamdaniyye, New Aleppo and Zehra, the outskirts of the city, and entered the center of Aleppo from there at noon yesterday.
The groups also captured the Serakib district, where the M4 and M5 highways intersect in the southeast of Idlib, after besieging it from the northern and southern branches.

Opposition groups also gained control over all of Idlib. Armed groups have rapidly advanced in the east and southeast of Idlib since this morning and captured more than 50 villages.
In the statement, it was stated that dozens of soldiers were killed and injured in the violent clashes with the rebels in Aleppo and Idlib in recent days. The groups also captured the Serakib district, where the M4 and M5 highways intersect in the southeast of Idlib, after besieging it from the northern and southern branches.
In 2020, the conflicts in Idlib, the last stronghold of the opposition, had largely calmed down with the agreement signed between Türkiye and Russia.

The groups reached Sadallah El-Cabiri Square, in the center of the city, and advanced and captured a large part of the city.

Anti-regime groups quickly captured the governorship and police headquarters buildings, as well as the Aleppo Castle, the symbol of the city.
Armed groups captured the Abu Zuhur Military Airport and seized the ammunition and military vehicles left behind by the regime soldiers.
Armed groups, which impose a night curfew in the city, take security measures by inspecting the neighborhoods they control.
In the evening, the groups entered the buildings used by the regime as detention centers and released dozens of people, including political prisoners.
