The Kremlin stated that Russia is achieving its goals in Ukraine and announced that it may end the “special operation” it started in Ukraine in the “near future”.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also stated that they saw some states trying to remain neutral yesterday being pressured to vote to suspend Russia’s membership in the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council.
The UN General Assembly suspended Russia’s membership in the Human Rights Council yesterday due to reports of “systematic human rights violations” in Ukraine. Thereupon, Russia announced its resignation from the Council itself.
