Searching along the stream bed and Melen Stream, AFAD, JAK, IHH, firefighters, Gendarmerie Search dogs, AFAD Drone team, Gendarmerie aram helicopter and diver policemen of the Security Directorate swept the area in order to reach Bayrak.

While UMKE teams and an ambulance were kept ready in the region, the evacuation of the water in the area where the operator was flooded with a bucket continued with pumps.

FOUND 30 KM FROM THE LOST PLACE

Concentrating their search efforts in and around the Melen Stream, a team of approximately 400 people found a body in the water in the Yayakbaşı village location.

In the examination, it was determined that the body belonged to Okan Bayrak.

Düzce Governor Cevdet Atay told Anadolu Agency (AA) that they evaluated the report that there was a corpse in the Melen Stream from Yayakbaşı village and said, “The body has been found. The father said that the body belonged to his son. We have now reached the operator according to the information given by his father. Our prosecutor will examine it. He is in the Melen Stream. The body was found about 30 kilometers from where he disappeared.” used the phrases.

The teams that carried out the dredging work in the creek bed had found the construction machine and shoes that Bayrak had previously used.
