The meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian delegations in Istanbul ended. After the meeting, the Ukrainian delegation made statements. Highlights from the statements of the Ukrainian delegation, stating that they want Turkey to be among the guarantor countries, are as follows:
“Who do we want as guarantors? UNSC countries, China, the Russian Federation are also there, the USA, France, Turkey, Germany, Canada, Poland and Israel. If there are other countries that want to join, we want them to be able to do so. We have received confirmation from some countries that they already have an interest, We are just waiting for official confirmation.
“We want Ukraine’s future security to be guaranteed, to be assured by all the guarantors. This is a system in which Ukraine’s EU membership is supported rather than denied.
“If these consultations fail, he must offer military support.
‘WE HAVEN’T AGREEMENT ON SECURITY YET’
“The Crimea and similar regions should be evaluated separately. The referendum cannot be held under the state of emergency. We have not yet agreed on a security guarantee.
“ZELENSKY AND PUTIN CAN ALSO PARTICIPATE”
“We want to include the guarantor countries in the multilateral negotiations. I hope that we will be able to eliminate the differences between us until then. At this point, a summit can be organized to ensure the participation of the leaders of Ukraine and Russia.
“The Russians consider Crimea as their territory, but we do not accept it.
“Today’s meeting is sufficient for a meeting at the level of presidents.
“We will convey Ukraine’s demands to Putin.
