Breaking news: The International Court of Justice reported that the humanitarian situation in Gaza under Israeli attack has worsened and new precautionary measures are needed.
“ISRAEL MUST STOP IMMEDIATELY”
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled that Israel must immediately stop its military attacks and other actions in Rafah.
“REPORT MUST BE SUBMITTED”
In the statement made by the court, the following was noted:
Israel bombed Rafah for weeks, the infrastructure is about to be destroyed. Israel must fulfill its responsibilities. The measures taken are insufficient.
The court decided that an amendment should be made to the injunction decision dated March 28. For this reason, it was decided that new precautionary measures were needed.
- Israel must immediately stop its military attacks and all actions that create living conditions that could lead to even partial destruction of Palestinians.
Israel must immediately stop its attacks that harm civilians.
Israel should take effective measures to protect evidence within the framework of the Genocide Prevention Treaty and not prevent any investigation team from entering the Gaza Strip.
- Israel must submit a report to the International Court of Justice within 1 month.
ACTION WAS TAKEN UPON SOUTH AFRICA’S REQUEST
South Africa applied to the ICJ on May 10 and requested new measures against Israel, on the grounds that the attacks launched by Israel in Rafah had irreparably damaged the rights of Gazans.
