last minute Statement by North Korea as a threat

Last minute: A statement came from North Korea as a threat to South Korea. Criticizing South Korean Defense Minister Suh Wook’s words of attack on his country, Kim Yo Jong stated that South Korea may face a “serious threat” due to Wook’s assessments.

“A RESPONSIBLE MAN”

In his statements in North Korean state media, Kim Yo Jong described Minister Wook as a “frivolous and reckless man” and said South Korea could face a “serious threat” because of Wook’s assessments.

‘WAR’ WARNING FROM NORTH KOREA

North Korean Workers’ Party Central Committee Secretary Pak Jong Chon also warned that in the current situation, any wrong decision or bad statement to affect the other side could trigger “a dangerous conflict and a full-blown war”.

Wook stated on April 1 that they had the capability and preparedness to launch attacks on the north if they detected that North Korea intends to launch missiles into his country.

ICBM TRIAL

North Korea carried out a missile test on March 24 and announced that it was a “new type” intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). It was stated that this missile was “launched for the first time” and that the test took place under the auspices of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

South Korea reported that North Korea’s missile flew approximately 1080 kilometers at an altitude of over 6,200 kilometers.

Japan had confirmed that the missile had landed 150 kilometers west of the Oshima area in Hokkaida and within the national exclusive economic zone.

United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that the intercontinental ballistic missile test “publicly violated” UN Security Council resolutions.

US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, who met as part of the G7 leaders’ summit in Brussels, condemned the experiment. It was noted that Biden emphasized his country’s “unwavering support for the security” of Japan and South Korea during the meeting.
