Breaking news: President Erdogan continues to discuss global developments with world leaders. In this context, Erdogan last met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
A CALL TO GERMANY ‘RETURN TO YOUR NEUTRALITY’
In a phone call with Scholz, Erdoğan stated that they expect Germany to return to its neutral stance on Turkish-Greek relations.
On the other hand, Erdogan told Scholz that the Turkey-EU dialogue, the Customs Union update talks and the accession negotiations should be revived.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that he attaches special importance to the close dialogue they developed with German Chancellor Scholz in order to strengthen the relations between the two countries in every field.

After meeting with Scholz, Erdoğan had a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the phone call of the two leaders, regional issues, especially the latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine war, were discussed.
President Erdoğan stated that they continue to take necessary initiatives with all parties to solve the problems related to the implementation of the Istanbul Agreement on grain shipments.
Stating that he is confident that they will establish a solution-oriented cooperation in this issue, as in many other issues, President Erdoğan said that if they solve the grain crisis with a constructive approach, they will encourage the steps to be taken on the way back to the negotiations.
In his speech at the Valday Discussion Club meeting, President Erdoğan thanked Russian President Putin for his sincere statements about Turkey and himself.
