The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the epicenter of the earthquake in Mexico was 17 kilometers southwest of the Brisas Barra de Suchiate region of Chiapas state.
The earthquake, recorded at a depth of 75.4 kilometers underground, was also felt in the neighboring country of Guatemala.
No “tsunami” warning was made after the earthquake, where no loss of life or property has been reported yet.
