Last minute: Explaining the latest situation in the region in the Russia-Ukraine war, NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg said, “The Russian army is advancing towards the east of Ukraine.”

Emphasizing that Russia did not give up on its ambitions in Ukraine, Stoltenberg said that instead of retreating, they observed that the Russian forces were regrouping, rearming, resupplying and aiming to head east by moving away from Kiev.

Stating that they expect a move to the east and south to seize Donbas and establish a land bridge to the occupied Crimea in the coming weeks, Stoltenberg pointed out that this is a critical phase of the war.

On the other hand, Stoltenberg continued his statement, “Ukraine needs urgent military assistance. We expect the Allies to provide more support to Ukraine with various weapon systems.” he said.

In his assessment of civilian deaths in Bucha and other Ukrainian cities, Stoltenberg said, “We will consider the brutal war in Ukraine and we have all seen the atrocities in Bucha and elsewhere in Ukraine. This reveals the true nature of Russian President Putin’s war. Targeting and killing civilians is a war crime. For this reason, NATO allies support international efforts to uncover all the facts, investigate and punish those responsible.
