In the statement made by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, it was stated that an explosion occurred in the Chuvash part of Urengoy-Pomari-Uzhgorod, one of the important pipelines for gas exports of the country.
In the statement, which included the information that 3 people died due to the explosion, it was recorded that one person was injured.
ABOUT URENGOY-POMARI-UJGOROD PIPELINE
The Urengoy–Pomari–Uzhgorod pipeline, or Trans-Siberian pipeline, is the main gas export pipeline, first to the Soviet Union and then to Russia. A part of the pipeline is on the territory of Ukraine. With the completion of the line built between 1982-1984, the first intercontinental natural gas transmission between Siberia and Europe became possible.
