Last minute: 7 civilians, including 5 children, were killed and 13 civilians were injured as a result of the air attack carried out by the Russian warplane on the villages of Yakubiye and Judeyda, where Christians live, in Idlib province in northwest Syria.
THE ATTACK WAS TAKEN IN THE MORNING HOURS
According to the opposition aircraft observatory, at 05:36 CEST, Russian warplanes, which took off from the Hmeymim base in Latakia, carried out an air attack on the villages of Yakubiye and Judeyda in the west of Idlib.
According to the information received from the Idlib Civil Defense (White Helmets) officials, 7 people, including 5 children, were killed and 13 injured in the air attack of the Russian plane on the Cudeyde village of Idlib.
In addition to Christians, displaced families live in the targeted area.
THEY ESTABLISHED THE REGION BY ESCAPE OF THE ATTACKS
It was learned that those who lost their lives in the attack were civilians who escaped from the attacks of the Bashar Assad regime and its supporters in the province of Hama and took shelter in the region.

At the Astana meeting in 2017, Turkey, Russia and Iran decided to create 4 “de-escalation zones” in the area not under the control of the Assad regime.

Although Turkey reached an additional agreement to strengthen the ceasefire with Russia in September 2018, the attacks intensified again in May 2019. After the new agreement between Turkey and Russia on March 5, 2020, the ceasefire is largely preserved.
Approximately 2 million civilians fleeing the attacks during the 2017-2020 period had to migrate to regions close to the Turkish border.
