In keeping with the Christmas season, the Harry Potter series has already been shown on TV and is currently in the streaming charts from several providers. The final part of the successful spin-off series Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets awaits you in the new year. The Free TV premiere reveals more about the headmaster of Hogwarts, but we probably won’t find out how the whole story ends.
Big free TV premiere: Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets
In the third part, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) commissions the magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to stop the evil wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen). Albus himself cannot face a direct duel due to a blood oath, so it is up to Newt and his magical animals to put together an intrepid troop. Because if they don’t stop Grindelwald in time, there is a risk of war with the Muggle world.
Fans and critics are divided when it comes to the last part of the fantasy series. On Rotten Tomatoes, Dumbledore’s Secrets only receives 46 percent approval, while the Fans awarded a generous 83 percent. It says: “It’s a bit long and the effects may be better than the story, but for fans of the franchise this is a pretty fantastic sequel.”
Fantastic Beasts will probably not be continued
The first part grossed a whopping $812 million and was therefore a complete success. But the next two sequels saw revenues steadily decline. That’s why Warner decided to bring the series to an early end, because five parts were actually planned from the outset, which were supposed to cover the period from 1925 to 1945 in the Wizarding World.
The decision doesn’t seem to be set in stone, but according to statements from Eddie Redmayne and director David Yates, it currently doesn’t look like the series will be continued in the near future. Instead Everything seems to be focused on the planned Harry Potter series.
The cast is already being hotly debated, as the cast is primarily intended to be younger in terms of age and thus move closer to the original book. In addition, it should be cast in a much more diverse manner. Since skin color is usually not mentioned in the books, nothing stands in the way of this. Paapa Essiedu, who is currently being hyped as a Snape actor, could make a start. But until then, you can look forward to the free TV premiere of Fantastic Beasts 3.
