The cat Lasse has over 15,000 followers on Facebook and has become a tourist attraction at the Överby shopping center in Trollhättan, where he walks every day.
When the celebrity cat meets TV4’s reporter Annelie Adqvist, he shows where the cupboard should be.
– He chooses himself. You can tell, says owner Jan Karlsson.
TV4 Nyheterna was there when Lasse’s boss took time off from work to pick up when Lasse would be the draw at a store opening.
When TV4’s reporter Annelie Adqvist goes to greet Lasse and carry him out of a car in a parking lot, he does the unexpected and bites.
The catwalk was not for Lasse either.
Lasse nobbed the store opening
The cat snubbed the store opening to instead run back to the part of the shopping center where he usually greets people and gets patted every day. A habit that 12-year-old Lasse started with a couple of years ago.
He trudges two kilometers every morning to get there. When he gets tired and wants to go home, he tries to get a cheap ride.
– He has always been very social and wanted to be seen, says owner Jan Karlsson.
The cat spreads joy
The home address is in the Facebook group that has now gained 15,000 followers and the family started to try to keep an eye on him.
Husse is sure that Lasse spreads joy because there is always someone who stands up and gives him a ride home.
