Malmö FF legend Bosse Larsson died on Monday.
He is now mourned by many.
Among others Lasse Granqvist.

On Tuesday, the news came that the former football player Bo-GoranBossLarsson expired the day before. Larsson was a celebrated player and a great icon in Malmö FF. He lived to be 79 years old.

The memory of Bosse

Bosse Larsson spent the majority of his football career in Malmö. Between 1957-1966, and again between 1969-1979. In between, he played in the German club VfB Stuttgart for three years, but the homesickness for his hometown of Malmö became too great. In 307 matches in MFF, there were 119 goals. He is considered one of the greatest and best players to ever play in the sky blue shirt.

Granqvist’s words

Bosse Larsson is truly a Swedish football icon, who was loved and appreciated by many. It is not least noticeable now – the tributes to the footballer have poured in after his death.
“I never got to see you play. I never got to meet you. Still, I only understood since I was little that you were the greatest. As my father always described it to me, “his name is not Bosse, his name is God”. Next year we will win gold for you! Rest in peace Bosse”, writes MFF captain Pontus Jansson on X/Twitter.

Sports journalist, commentator and presenter Lasse Granqvist also joins the chorus of praise.
“The discussion should start about a statue of Bosse Larsson outside the Stadium in Malmö”, writes Granqvist in a text message to P4 Malmöhus.

– It is possible, I don’t want to go through exactly all the proposals that exist now, but we appreciate that they will come and we will of course look at them and then we will see what we can do from this, replies Malmö FF’s chairman Anders Pålsson to the radio channel.
