2024 has offered many blue-yellow successes and names such as Armand Duplantis, Truls Möregårdh, David Ohman and Jonathan Hellvig and Sarah Sjostrom stands out the most. What we know for sure already now is that swimming queen Sjöström cannot win the feat gold this year despite double Olympic gold, as she has already won the medal twice earlier in her career.
– Sarah is out, because she has already won it twice. She can’t win again, it says so in the statutes, and it’s always been like that, says Annette Norbergmember of the bragdjuryn, to Sportbibeln.

Granqvist’s favorite

Duplantis remains with both Olympic gold and a world record from the summer, Truls Möregårdh with double Olympic silver and Åhman/Hellgren with a historic Olympic gold. If you ask Lasse Granqvist so he is absolutely sure of the winner of the Bragdguldet this year.
– It must be a record short meeting! Duplantis has gotten it once before, but they can’t miss giving it to him when he sets a world record on the final jump. He holds an entire stadium and is the most noticed in athletics in the whole world!, says the TV4 profile in the podcast “Sporthuset”.

Also the podcast colleagues Jens Fjellström and Tommy Åström has Armand Duplantis as a given favorite. The only ones who can challenge “Mondo” for the Bragdguldet are beach volleyball with David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig.
