Lasse Berghagen is laid to rest in Hedvig Eleonora church at Östermalm in Stockholm. Invitations to the ceremony went out some time ago to family, friends and colleagues, but the public is also expected to say goodbye outside the church.
This summer, Lasse Berghagen suffered from heart problems and had to cancel his participation in Västervik’s song festival. Instead, he was hospitalized and in September underwent heart valve surgery from which he never recovered.
Lasse Berghagen died on October 19, aged 78.
