It ended up with the municipality having to throw away around 900 kilos of venison bought in for the meal.
“It’s not positive when we want to lift game and want to serve more game,” says Anna Lorentzson who is head of Växjö municipality’s meal organization to the newspaper.
The discarded meat will now become biogas instead. Samples of the meat have been sent for analysis.
