Now the veteran breaks the silence after being forced to leave the national team.

It was during Tuesday that a leaden announcement came about the Swedish national ski team: Veteran Larry Poromaa, who from 2003 to 2010 was head coach for the Swedish national ski team, is forced to leave. Poromaa came back to the national team after being fired in 2012 before last year, but is already forced to leave.
“We did not agree”
The announcement also came shortly after Perry Olsson, known in skiing circles as a star player, also announced that he was leaving the national team. That such experienced fencers leave the national team ahead of a season that includes the WC in Norway worries SVT expert Anders Blomquist, who on Wednesday was very critical of fence manager Anders Svanebo’s decision.
– I am very concerned and worried, said Blomquist.
Now Larry Poromaa, who is also the father of cross-country star William Poromaa, talks for the first time about the feelings surrounding the farewell.
– The reason is that we did not really agree. I said all last season that there was hardly any time before the season started, that’s really it, he says to ST.
Pushing back against the data
According to Larry Poromaa, there was an offer on the table from the national team, but which was simply not good enough. He says that he would have liked to continue and he enjoyed himself.
– We did not agree. I got an offer, took a stand and didn’t think it was attractive enough, he says.
Larry Poromaa also hits back against those who believed that the dismissal had something to do with Perry Olsson leaving his role.
– It’s clear that it gets boring when colleagues you work with leave, I’ve known him since a long time ago. But it is not for that reason, says Poromaa.
