There was little to celebrate at municipalities and GGDs following the figures about the National Vaccination Program that the RIVM presented this week. Although most parents remain positive about vaccination, in this region the number of babies vaccinated against mumps, measles or rubella fell below 90 percent for the first time. And while in 2022 90.7 percent of preschoolers received a shot against diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus and poliomyelitis, this dropped to 82.3 percent in 2023.
