Large item waste collection begins March 31 In Oxford County.
This special Waste Collection Event-Which Includes All Types of Large Furniture and Items-Runs in Blandford-Blenheim, East Zorra-Tavistock, Norwich, South-West Oxford, Tillsonburg, and Zorra on Designated Weeks from April to Early July.
The City of Woodstock Coordinates Collection Within City Limits.
Acceptable items include Household Furniture, Carpet Rolls and Under Padding (Six-Inch Maxi, Rolled and Bundled), Pool Filters, Pool Covers, Water Softeners, Matresses, and Box Springs.
RESIDENTS CAN LEAVE ITEMS AT THE CURB BY 7 AM ON THE MONDAY OF THEIR SPECIFIC Collection Week. Garbage bag tags are not required for large items; However, each item must not exceed 45 kg (100 lbs.). Residents are Responsible for Removing Any Unacceptable Items Left AT The Curb.

Unacceptable items included Glass, Mirrors, Automotive Parts, Small Garbage that can fit into garbage bags, and items piled on trailed/gold lose in cardboard boxes.
The County Asks People to Give Some Thought to What They Are Tossing.
“Think before you throw,” Said an Oxford County Press Release. “The Landfill isn’t Your Only Option. Many items can do to local charities, sold through online marketplaces, or upcycled into something new. Before Discarding, consider How Yourwanted Items Could Benefit Oters or Be Repurpimity.”
