It was at half past four on Friday morning that a satellite detector discovered the fire in Härryda. When the emergency services arrived at the scene, two smaller buildings were fully engulfed in flames.
– It is more common for the satellite to detect fires in the summer with forest fires, that is why it actually exists, says Micael Olsson, alarm and line operator at the rescue service.
According to GP the police suspect that the fires may be arson – and a preliminary investigation into arson has been launched.
By 06:30 the buildings had burned down and the emergency services remained on the scene with a smaller number of resources.
