Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid says it is too early to draw any conclusions about the outcome of Tuesday’s election.

According to forecasts from three TV channels, it looks like Lapid’s rival, former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is going strong in the election. Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud party and its allies could move towards a majority of their own, according to forecasts.

– Nothing is decided. We will wait patiently, Lapid told supporters at an election vigil in Tel Aviv.
