Langton woman wins 136K in poker lottery

A Langton woman has won more than $136,000 in Poker Lotto.

Helena Teichroeb of Langton won $5,000 on Poker Lotto and $131,488.40 after paying $1 for a chance to win the ‘All In’ jackpot.

“I stopped at the store to get a drink and play a Poker Lotto All In. I saw the winning cards come up and the clerk told me I won. I didn’t believe it – that was a shock for me,” she told officials at the OLG Prize Center in Toronto.

The wife and mother plans to use the funds to pay down her mortgage and take her family on a vacation.

“This feels pretty good. I never dreamed this would happen,” she said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Fairground General Store.
