If the city council of De Bilt votes on Thursday for a participation plan, which will allow residents of De Bilt to participate in discussions about housing in the railway zone in Bilthoven, three landowners will withdraw from the plan. The consultation round will take about a year, which the landowners think is too long. Instead of housing, the landowners threaten to build a hotel opposite Bilthoven station, or to renovate the existing buildings, so that the site will not be available for new construction.
