The WRX season, which will open in the first week of June, will witness the electric return of the Lancia Delta Integrale legend this year.
Revived under the Stellantis umbrella, which emerged from the merger of PSA and FCA, Lancia is transitioning to a different era with its new era product range focused on electricity. Before the announcement of the new plans, this process, where we witnessed the return of classic Lancia cars by boutique manufacturers, actually includes the steps of ending a longing for many of us. Lancia Delta Integrale will also return as a real rally car to this cluster, which is gradually shaped by different steps. A very valuable name like Sebastian Loeb will be behind the wheel of the Delta Evo-e RXs models, which are announced to compete directly in the World Rallycross Championship.

The fact that the Martini Racing coatings used by Lancia in its cars in the late 80’s and early 90’s will be used in the new era cars will bring a pleasant time travel for the enthusiasts. We also have technical data about cars at this stage. We see that the cars that will come with dual electric motors will have a power of approximately 660 horsepower. The fact that the vehicles can complete their acceleration from 0 to 100 in just 1.8 seconds, thanks to the special body materials, also increases the expectations in the rally stage.

Loeb’s statements about the cars developed by the French GCK Performance, one of the important sources of motor sports, are also remarkable. Emphasizing that he comes from a generation where Lancia Delta dominated rally races, Loeb said; “I inevitably have a soft spot for this car. As part of the testing process, we had the chance to test the vehicles in December 2022. The ride quality is quite impressive.” Our eyes will be on these beauties in the WRX season, the first leg of which will be run in Portugal on June 3rd.
