SMHI has issued warnings that there may be icy conditions, slush and poor visibility on the roads in basically all of Svealand and Götaland.
The police also warn about the road conditions in the Christmas traffic and they have had to deal with several accidents around the country.
Among other things, on E4 in the Jönköping area, the police warn that it is very slippery after there were two single-vehicle accidents during the afternoon. No one is said to have been seriously injured there.
Dozens of cars in a collision on the E45
There have also been accidents on several other roads during the day. On the E45 in the municipality of Lilla Edets, long queues have formed after around ten vehicles were involved in an accident. There, the road conditions are described as “glassy” by the police, who state that several people have been taken to hospital with unclear injuries.
– There are two cars that run into each other and then there are more kitchen coats, says Helena Clase, officer on duty at the police.
Bus overturned in Kiruna
In Kiruna, a bus with 53 people on board overturned at lunchtime today. Four people have been taken to hospital and the state of damage was initially described as minor injuries.
The bus driver is suspected of negligence in traffic and causing bodily harm.
On the E20 between Skara and Götene, two vehicles are said to have collided during the evening and the incident has had a major impact on the traffic, which has to be rerouted. No person should have been injured according to
E65 had to be shut down after an accident
At 1 p.m., the police write that E65 in Svedala municipality was temporarily closed after a car ran off the road. Three people are said to have traveled in the car and it is unclear if anyone has been injured, the police write on their website.
In Falkenberg there was also a single accident on the E6 where a car drove into the center guardrail. No one is said to have been injured there.
