Clark is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 21 by video from the jail. Houle has a bail hearing Nov. 8.

They were arrested and charged with attempted murder in July 2021. A Chatham-Kent police officer who pulled them over noticed suspicious damage to a vehicle they were in around the same time police were called to investigate shots fired at the intersection of King and Victoria streets in Wallaceburg.

The attempted murder charges were dropped after Clark pleaded guilty in November 2022 to possessing a dangerous weapon and possessing a firearm while prohibited and was sentenced to two years in jail. Houle was cleared of all charges after his plea deal.

Clark was previously sentenced to 18 months in jail in Sarnia in 2020 for pointing a shotgun at his ex-partner and served another year behind bars in 2021 for being caught with an illegal sawed-off shotgun in Oil Springs.

The former Oil Springs resident was also finished in 2015 for meth possession.

The new charges haven’t been tested in court.
