Lamborghini Revuelto; first official step into the electric age

Lamborghini Revuelto first official step into the electric age

Lamborghini Revuelto, which will be recorded as the first hybrid car of the brand, will be the next king after the Aventador.

One of the developments that we will say “That day was today…” and which we will write down on the calendars is standing in front of us right now. One of the most important names in the history of super sports cars, Lamborghini’s first hybrid model, which has been hinting at the code “LB744” for a while, is officially before us. Lamborghini Revuelto, which is ready to sit on the throne of the kingdom after the Aventador, will take its place on the stage of history as the brand’s first step into the electric age. Lambo’s flagship choice, which continues without giving up the 6.5-liter V12, welcomes us with a strong combination of electricity and efficient numbers.

Lamborghini Revuelto technical specifications

Numbers, numbers… With a brand new model and a brand new infrastructure, our eyes inevitably shift to technical qualities first on the list. We see that there are three electric motors in total in the Lamborghini Revuelto, which comes with a hybrid infrastructure. One of the engines located in the gearbox and the others in the front-rear will continue to exist in this system, producing approximately 150 horsepower. With the involvement of the 6.5-liter V12 (815 horsepower), a combined 1,000 horsepower is projected onto the asphalt. According to the data shared by Lambo, Revuelto can complete its acceleration from 0 to 100 in 2.5 seconds. The maximum speed that the car can reach, with a 0-200 time of 7 seconds, will be 350 km / h. Among the important details is the completely newly developed 8-stage dual-clutch transmission in the car.

Lamborghini engineers inevitably set sail for new challenges with this car. At this point, a 17-kilogram lightening in the engine block, which is also used in the Aventador, in order to keep the car in certain frames with the effect of emission standards, draws attention at this point. However, despite all these efforts, there is an inevitable burden brought by the electrical system. Expectations for the Revuelto, whose total weight has not been shared for now, are in the range of 1,750 to 1,800 kilograms. The battery, which is an important part of the system, allows approximately 10 kilometers of electric driving with its 3.8 kWh capacity. The compact package, which can be filled by the internal combustion engine by acting as a generator, can reach 100 percent in 6 minutes with this method. The unit, which can be charged with support up to 7 kW, can be fully charged in 30 minutes. The fact that it will emit 30 percent less carbon compared to the engine in the Aventador Ultimae makes this combination more meaningful for the Brand with its performance values that will go down in history.

The fact that serious revisions have been made in the chassis architecture will not go unnoticed. The carbon fiber alloy substructure will have a noticeable improvement in torsional strength compared to the previous one. It is noteworthy that Lamborghini prefers the collision compensation channel as composite in the front part of the car. This will be a world first for a road car. The choice to bid farewell to the “pusroad” type suspensions that we are used to with the Revuelto draws attention. Lamborghini, which has instead switched to “double-wishbone” independent suspension, claims that this will bring advantages to driving with the latest developments in the springs. The car, which will offer four-wheel power transmission, will also offer rear-wheel maneuverability and active aerodynamic body panels.
