It’s a doubly difficult undertaking that director Lilo Baur and her actors Laetitia Casta and Roschdy Zem have taken on. The theater adaptation of the cult film “A Special Day” by Ettore Scola with the addition of two sacred cinema monsters: Marcello Mastroianni and Sophia Loren. And the business is successful! At the Théâtre de l’Atelier, it’s a vibrant and delicate “A Special Day” around fascism and exclusion that still resonates today.
