The Russian government, which started production again after the nationalization of AvtoVAZ, draws its own limits with Lada Granta production planning.
With Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the sanctions imposed by the countries of the world were on the agenda for a long time. In addition to Europe, the cards are almost redistributed on some sides, with both the economic and political decisions taken against the Russian front on the side of the United States. In the Russian market, where foreign brands from different sectors are attracted, the Renault front has been watched from afar for a long time, with the step it will implement. The French manufacturer, which has a large amount of rights on AvtoVAZ, the most important brand of the country, transferred its rights to the local government, albeit with the condition of getting it back within 6 years at the end of the process. After the official steps, Lada and the Russian government, which need to make quick decisions and start production, are on the agenda again with the decision they made for one of their best-selling models, Granta. In the new production planning, which completely ignores European standards, the absence of passenger airbags in cars draws attention.

Lada Granta surprises with its production standards
The Lada side, which wants to start the production process of the nationalized Lada brand as soon as possible and make the economic conditions sustainable for the workers, is almost challenged the current standards for the production of the car. In the country, where imported materials could not be supplied to a large extent due to the effect of the embargoes, production was started with domestic resources. Parallel to this, Lada, which sets its own standards, is in Granta; None of the equipment such as traction control system, ABS, passenger airbag, air conditioning and keyless entry are included. The fact that the emission standards of the 1.6-liter engine used in the vehicle are at the level of the 90s are among the interesting parts of the story. With the effect of all this scheme, the Granta, which started to be produced again as one of the cheapest models in the country, was announced with a starting price of approximately 13,000 dollars. The model can be preferred in three different body types.
