Lack of playing fields slows down youth football in Helsingborg

– First of all, there needs to be more artificial grass pitches. The current two are not enough, says Mats Andersson, chairman of Helsingborg’s Allmänna Idrottsällskap, HAIS.

The three clubs, which are also together with the elite association Helsingborgs IF at Olympia, complain about a lack of training times and difficult logistical problems when teams are forced to share half-courts – or even forced to train at other sports venues.

Leisure director Daniel Nilsson says he is aware of the problem, but cannot promise any investment in new playing surfaces.
