    This Sunday, September 29, World Heart Day once again promises to be a good opportunity to take stock of your heart health and how to preserve it. As such, Organon, a laboratory specializing in women’s health, points out: a third of women in France lack physical activity and are thus exposed to more risks.

    Are you moving enough to keep your heart healthy? Not sure. According to an alarming finding from the World Health Organization, one in three women in the world lack physical activity to be in good health. A reality that directly impacts their cardiovascular health, because yes, women are also on the front line of heart risks.

    Just 30 minutes of activity per day is a game changer

    On the occasion of World Heart Day, Organon, a laboratory specializing in women’s health, intends to relaunch its campaign “RevElle Ton Move” in collaboration with illustrator Diglee to encourage women to move more and integrate physical activity into their daily lives.

    The issues of this awareness are crucial:

    • 65% of women believe that prevention against cardiovascular diseases is insufficient today;
    • Regular physical activity helps control blood pressure, cholesterol and weight, major risk factors for heart disease;
    • Exercising for 30 minutes a day can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death in women, by up to 30%;

    Sports activity also makes it possible, during and after pregnancy (at moderate intensity), to reduce the risks for the mother and the baby (reduction of the risk of pre-eclampsia, hypertension, gestational diabetes, excessive weight gain, complications with the childbirth, postpartum depression and complications in the newborn).

    Lack of time, the main obstacle for women to return to sport

    However, women are not less active than men. But they face specific obstacles:

    • 74% cite lack of time as the main obstacle (while only 34% of men think this is a major problem for women);
    • 36% mention their complexes as a barrier to practicing sports.

    However, beyond heart health, finding a niche for physical activity is essential. According to a study, thanks to sport, women feel: more relaxed (41%), happier (52%), more energetic (50%), more confident (48%)

    RevElle Ton Move” an invitation to move, for your heart health

    To overcome these challenges, Organon, a laboratory specializing in women’s health, and Diglee are offering this year inspiring illustrations showing how to simply integrate physical activity into your daily life, for better heart health. Their goal? Highlight all the small daily actions that help fight against a sedentary lifestyle, and easily include moments of physical activity in busy lives!

    Have a meeting while walking, go shopping by bike, work standing up, dance in the evening in your living room: so many ways to combine everyday life and health! And to better print it, they made a drawing for you.

    “We want to continue to highlight subjects that are still too often neglected in terms of women’s health. Telling women to find an extra hour in an already busy schedule is not doing them any favors. Our goal is to relieve women of their guilt regarding physical activity, by showing them how to integrate movement into their daily lives and their reality. Small efforts can have big effects over time, with significant benefits on cardiovascular, mental, hormonal health, and more. recalled Gabrielle Fourchon, Associate Director of Communications Organon Mid-Europe in a press release.
