According to an exit poll released by research firm Ipsos UK after the polls closed, the Labour Party came to power with 410 MPs in the 650-seat House of Commons.
The ruling Conservative Party, which had 365 seats in the previous election, lost 131 seats.
FAR-RIGHT WON 13 SEATS
The far-right Reform UK Party won 13 seats, the Liberal Democrats 61, the Scottish National Party 10 and the Greens 2.
Citizens in the country, which has approximately 50 million voters, went to the polls yesterday in the general election held to elect new MPs to the House of Commons.
The voting ended at 22:00 local time (24:00 Turkish time).
