In southern Ukraine, the town of Melitopol was one of the targets of the counter-offensive. The military operation launched in June by kyiv did not allow it to be recaptured, but the Russian occupation forces there face armed local resistance which is still very active. Partisans carried out a spectacular operation this weekend.
