LP Kangasala’s great fight went to waste, when Kuusamo showed his skills by winning the third set 3-2 in the third volleyball final.
Kuusamo, who won the previous two championships, won the third final match of the Women’s Championship League against home team LP Kangasala 3–2 (25-17, 17-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-11) and leads the final series with a 3–0 victory.
Become champion with four wins. The Finnish championship is interrupted on Sunday in Kuusamo. In the finals of the Women’s Volleyball Championship League, no team has won the championship after losing 0-3 in the matches.
The win was Kuusamo’s tenth in a row against LP Kangasala. Last year Kuusamo knocked LP Kangasala out of the finals in the semifinals with three straight wins. LP Kangasala last won in Kuusamo on April 20, 2022.
LP Kangasala has played in an upward direction in the final match series, but even that was not enough, even though on Thursday even LP Kangasala’s 3-1 home win seemed possible.
LP Kangasala led in the sets 2–1 and was the driver in the fourth set with six points at his best, but Kuusamo won the set especially with the experienced by Carlyle Nusbaum thanks to. He scored nine of his 24 points overall.

– Kangasala will surely put everything to shame. They don’t come in the sense that the season will end. Of course, I believe in victory and preferably 3–0, but with small margins. Even the last match of the semifinals against Puijo was really even, Lehto said.
Nusbaum made 13 offensive errors, but was the team’s best as a receiver and also excellent in field defense, fighting for balls in the game even in seemingly hopeless situations.
Another general player Madeline Palmer scored 17 and, like Wednesday, the middle player ended the match with an ace serve Amiya Jones 13 points.
Kuusamo’s offensive game was consistently good in every set, with 58 percent in the final set being the peak. Came from an exchange Erin Shomaker hit five points out of seven passes in the set without errors.
